LONDON, CMC – Montserrat midfielder Rohan Ince bagged a brace in three minutes as promotion-chasing Woking came from behind to beat Dorking Wanderers 2-1 in their fifth-tier English National League match at Meadowbank on Good Friday.

Jason Prior’s penalty had given the hosts the lead just after the hour mark.

The Cards, however, fought back to equalize with 17 minutes left through a fine long-range volley from 30-year-old Ince, which flew into the top corner.

Before the hosts could regroup, Ince struck again in 76 minutes when he bundled the ball in from a corner to leave Woking in third place ahead of Chesterfield, who lost 3-1 at home to York City.

The brace took Ince’s tally for the season to seven, but they were his first goals for the club since scoring twice at Dagenham & Redbridge three months ago.

Woking trail new leaders Notts County and Wrexham by 25 points after Wrexham saw their automatic promotion hopes dented by a 3-1 defeat at FC Halifax Town, leaving the top two on 100 points apiece following County’s 3-0 home win over Wealdstone.

Jernade Meade, 30, a Montserrat team-mate of Ince’s, saw red on 82 minutes after picking up his second yellow card as Dartford went down 2-1 to Eastbourne Borough in a sixth-tier National League South match at Priory Lane Stadium.

Reggae Boy Jonson Clarke-Harris scored his 25th goal of the season as in-form Peterborough United maintained their League One playoff push with an emphatic 3-0 win at Shrewsbury Town’s New Meadow.

Clarke-Harris scored from the spot after Luke Leahy gave away a penalty as he bundled over Mason-Clark, sending goalkeeper Marko Marosi the wrong way to open the scoring on the half-hour mark.

Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson said: “It’s probably the most comfortable result I’ve had here as a manager as they always make it difficult. From the first minute, though, we controlled the game.”

Jamaican striker Jamille Matt opened his Walsall account in League Two, prodding home Brandon Comley’s flick-on at the back post in 23 minutes. Still, the Saddlers went down 4-2 at Crown Oil Arena against basement club Rochdale.

The 33-year-old Matt joined Walsall on an 18-month deal in January from League One bottom club Forest Green Rovers, where he scored twice earlier in the season, reuniting with his former Newport County boss Michael Flynn.

Tyrese Sinclair, a 22-year-old attacking midfielder whose father Frank played for Jamaica, headed home an 89th-minute equalizer as 10-man Altrincham, where he is on loan from Rochdale, fought back to salvage a point in a 2-2 draw at Boundary Park against Oldham Athletic in the National League.

In the same division, Guyana winger Callum Harriott rescued a point for Yeovil Town in a relegation battle at Aldershot Town’s EBB Stadium, which ended 1-1.

The 29-year-old Jaguar’s leveler came after 65 minutes when he poked home from close range after intelligent work from Malachi Linton and Matt Worthington.

Bermuda forward Justin Donawa, 26, gave hosts Solihull Moors a 10th-minute lead at the ARMCO Arena with his first campaign goal. Still, Kane Ferdinand earned visitors Maidenhead United a controversial late equalizer in a 1-1 draw that left Solihull nine points out of the National League playoffs.

Prolific scorer Dominic Poleon, 29, of St Lucian descent, hammered a hat-trick for runaway National League South leaders Ebbsfleet United, who defeated Oxford City 3-0 at the Kuflink Stadium.

Poleon’s goals – on 12, 50, and 63 minutes – took his season’s tally to 38.
