LONDON, CMC – Reggae Boy Jamal Lowe’s third goal in as many games helped propel Swansea City to their third straight win, as they beat Norwich City 2-1 to continue their march away from the bottom of the Championship.

The 29-year-old netted in the third minute to lay the foundation for the victory at Normandy Road. Brazilian Gabriel Sara leveled in the 22nd before Bashir Humphreys found the winner seven minutes from time.

Two weeks ago, the Swans were rooted in the relegation zone following a nightmare start to the season, which saw them go winless in their first seven games.

Their turnaround started with 3-0 wins over Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday, with Lowe scoring in both outings.

“I was delighted with the performance and the result. We were good value for the win,” said Swans manager Michael Duff.

“I think the reaction we have shown since the Cardiff game (which Swansea lost 2-0) has been perfect, and I thought we were good value for the win.”

Swansea City were ahead early in a move triggered and finished by Lowe. Bournemouth’s deadline day loan signing produced a tackle on Adam Forshaw, resulting in Swans captain Matt Grimes earning possession.

Grimes then linked up with Jamie Paterson to set up Lowe, who finished clinically.

Gabriel’s header hauled the visitors back into the contest, leaving the game tied 1-1 at the break before Humphreys unleashed a superb finish from a close finish after Lowe had been twice denied.
