HAVANA, Cuba, CMC—Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero visited Venezuela this week. One of the first activities on his working agenda was meeting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
Marrero was welcomed by the Venezuelan president at Miraflores Presidential Palace, where the two leaders addressed bilateral cooperation between their countries.
As part of his agenda in Caracas, the Cuban Prime Minister also met with Cuban workers in that South American nation.
Marrero briefed the workers about their country’s current situation and the implementation of governmental actions to relaunch the economy.
The Cuban head of government is scheduled to also meet with other local authorities and check bilateral cooperation accords.
Cuba and Venezuela cooperate strategically in healthcare, sports, education, communication, science, and energy.
