TEXAS, United States, CMC – Saint Lucia’s Olympic champion, Julien Alfred, produced impressive performances to capture gold in both the 100m and 200m events here at the Texas Invitational.

Competing at the Mike A Myers Stadium on Friday, the 24-year-old powered to victory in the 100m in a blistering time of 10.93 seconds, the fifth fastest time in the world this season.

Jamaica’s Carleta Bernard, competing for the University of Texas, had the second fastest time of 11.34 seconds, while her compatriot Abigail Wolfe rounded out the top three in a time of 11.42 seconds.
