TAMPA, Florida, CMC – St Vincent & the Grenadines international Oalex Anderson came off the bench and helped hosts North Carolina FC come from behind to land a 4-1 win against Miami FC in the United Soccer League Championship this past Saturday in the United States.

All four NCFC goals came in the second half of the contest at WakeMed Soccer Park in the American town of Cary in the state of North Carolina after they were trailing 1-0 at half-time, and the 28-year-old striker came onto a park in the second half to put the finishing touches on the rout.

The win was the first for NCFC this season when the opposition scored first and clinched a sweep of the season series against bottom-placed Miami.

The result moved NCFC to eighth in the Eastern Conference standings, on 21 points, narrowly above the playoff line. Their season record is five wins, six losses, and six draws from 17 matches.

Anderson polished off the scoring with a penalty conversion in the 77th minute after he was fouled in the box.

Earlier, Miami grabbed the lead midway through the opening half when a long ball from midfield bounced perfectly behind the NCFC defense with goalkeeper Jake McGuire off his line, and the finish was enough for Khalid Balogun to open his scoring account for the season.

After the half-time interval, NCFC equalized when Anderson played a perfect pass into the box for Rafa Mentzingen to finish in the 50th minute.

Evan Conway scored twice in 90 seconds to put the home team ahead for good after he one-timed home a rocket insert from Louis Perez, then pressed off the restart and stole the ball off a Miami defender, duked him, and placed a left-footed missile into the far top corner.
