ROSEAU, Dominica, CMC—In a significant development for the Catholic community, Pope Francis, the head of the Roman Catholic Church, has appointed the Reverend Father Kendrick Forbes of the Archdiocese of Nassau, Bahamas, as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Roseau.
The news of his appointment was made public at the Vatican on Thursday.
The Vatican said, “We welcome the New Bishop Elect as he prepares to take charge of the Diocese of Roseau.”
According to regulation, the Bishop-Elect has up to three months to prepare for his Episcopal Ordination, a date to be announced.
