UPDATE 2 Rabada, Piedt, Mulder run through WI middle order to offset run chase

PROVIDENCE, Guyana, CMC – South Africa’s bowlers seized the advantage in the post-lunch session and established themselves as favorites to win the second Test against the West Indies at Providence Stadium on Saturday.

From a relatively comfortable position of 43-1 at lunch, the West Indies chased 262 for a historic victory. However, they crumbled, losing five wickets for 50 runs, to limp to 127-6 at tea.

Joshua Da Silva is unbeaten on 12, and Gudakesh Motie is ten not out.

South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada, Wiaan Mulder, and Dane Piedt each took three wickets as the home side slumped from 54-1 to 104 for six.

The West Indies still require another 135 runs to record a 1-0 series win, which would be their first Test series win over South Africa since 1992.
