PROVIDENCE, Guyana, CMC – Fast bowler Jayden Seales grabbed six wickets to give West Indies a good chance of pushing for victory against South Africa at lunch on Saturday on the third day of the second Test here at Providence Stadium.
Seales picked up the crucial wicket of topscorer Kyle Verreynne for 59 and added the scalps of Keshav Maharaj and Nandre Butcher for ducks as South Africa, who resumed on 223-5, lost their last five wickets for 23 runs to be dismissed for 246.
Seales ended with 6-61, while Gudakesh Motie and Jomel Warrican picked up two wickets apiece.
Set 262 for victory, the West Indies lost Mikyle Louis for just four and went to lunch on 43-1, with captain Kraigg Brathwaite unbeaten on 17 and Keacy Carty 15 not out.
