PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC—Trinidad and Tobago Airline Pilots Association members protested at the Piarco International Airport on Thursday morning.

The pilots, protesting against stalled wage negotiations with regional carrier Caribbean Airlines, call for a four percent wage increase but say they have not received any counteroffer from officials.

Timothy Bailey, an industrial relations consultant for the Trinidad and Tobago Airlines pilots association, is calling for the intervention of Finance Minister Colm Imbert.

According to Bailey, with the airline’s proposed expansion announced in the budget, it is the right thing to do.

Meanwhile, the airline said its operations were not affected by the protest action as the pilots were off-duty
