KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent, CMC – The state-owned National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) Friday confirmed that all of its assigned frequencies and its online platform are off the air.
In a statement, NBC said that on Thursday morning, it “experienced an electrical outage” at its headquarters “which severely affected several critical broadcast equipment.
“The Corporation’s Technical team and other state agencies have been working feverishly to ensure the return of this critical national service. The Corporation deeply regrets this unfortunate and untimely development.”
In the statement signed by its general manager, Dionne John, NBC said it is working with all its partners in the public and private sector “to arrive at alternative solutions for the delivery of service,” without elaborating.
