St. Kitts’s Prime Minister assumes the chairmanship of the OECS.

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, CMC – Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis Dr. Terrance Drew will assume chairmanship of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) when the OECS Authority holds its 73rd meeting in the twin island federation later on Sunday.

The 42nd anniversary of the sub-regional grouping, which will be commemorated at Sunday’s meeting, is being observed under the theme “Vision-Integration-Sustainability.”

A flag-raising ceremony will precede the opening ceremony, and Prime Minister Drew, Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas, Director of the OECS Dr. Didacus Jules, and Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) Timothy Antoine are expected to be in attendance.

Following the opening ceremony, OECS heads of government will discuss several issues, including regional integration, security, health, and renewable energy.
