KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Speaker of the House of Representatives Juliet Holness is heading a four-member delegation from the Jamaican Parliament to Trinidad and Tobago.

“The visit aims to see how the Parliament of Jamaica can best deploy our human resources and implement technological advances to modernize our operations to improve efficiency so that we can better serve the people of Jamaica,” Holness said.

According to an official statement issued here, the delegation, which includes Clerk to the Houses Colleen Lowe, will meet with officials from the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago and examine the procedures, corporate governance structure, and integration of the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago’s use of information technology infrastructure in its parliamentary processes.

It said delegation members would also meet with their counterparts to discuss matters of mutual interest to both Parliaments and observe firsthand the operations of the Parliament in the twin-island republic.
