KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – The governing Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has extended congratulations to Dr Godwin Friday and the New Democratic Party (NDP) on their victory in the general elections in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the JLP said the result reflects the clear will of the Vincentian people and highlights the strength of democratic traditions across the Caribbean.
The party noted that Jamaica looks forward to deepening its partnership with St Vincent and the Grenadines, particularly as both nations continue to advance shared regional priorities, including stronger CARICOM integration, enhanced climate resilience, and expanded opportunities for citizens.
“We again congratulate Dr Friday and the NDP and extend best wishes for a successful term of service to the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines,” the statement said.
