
KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Prime Minister Andrew Holness says his participation at the International Economic Forum, Latin America and the Caribbean 2026 in Panama ensures the interest of Jamaica “are advanced and that our voice is heard on the global stage”.
The meeting in Panama ends on Thursday, and Holness, in a statement posted on X, said, “As the global landscape continues to shift, it is increasingly important that Jamaica maintains a strong and active presence in international forums.”

“Jamaica’s participation ensures that our national interests are advanced and that our voice is heard on the global stage,” he added.
The Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), which is organising the three-day event, said it is being held under the theme “Latin America and Caribbean International Economic Forum: How to return to the path of growth?”.
“This high-level event will bring together global leaders and experts from the region to discuss strategies that strengthen sustainable economic development, with a special focus on impact investing, green energy transition, digitalization, and infrastructure,” CAF said.
