WINNIPEG, Manitoba, CMC – Trinidadian Stanley Chadee Jr. successfully captured the headlines in the CAN$24 900 Miss Sandy Dee Stakes on a day when Caribbean riders swept every race on the program at Assiniboia Downs.

Riding in the feature in race three on Monday, Chadee combined with favorite Burrow Down to get the better of the three-year-olds and upward fillies and mares by three-quarters of a length in a mile and sixteenth trip.

Burrow Down, a four-year-old filly by Connect out of True Endeavour, dueled from the break with 10-1 bet Even Pandura with Barbadian Damario Bynoe aboard, only gaining breathing space in the lane before holding well at the wire in a time of one minute, 48.68 seconds.

Barbadian Shavon Belle, meanwhile, logged a brace on the eight-race card when he scored with favorite Rebounder in race four and another favorite, Love Ours, in race seven.

Going 5-½ furlongs in race four, Belle paired with seven-year-old roan gelding Rebounder to turn back the three-year-olds and upward by a length after stalking the pace set by Mr Walsh.

And Belle picked up his second over six furlongs when he produced another stalking ride aboard the four-year-old gelding Love Ours to edge the three-year-olds upward by a head.

Elsewhere on the card, Bynoe combined with favorite Valid Defence to beat the three-year-olds and upward in race one over six furlongs while fellow countryman Renaldo Cumberbatch captured race two aboard 3-1 choice Artisan Dancer in a 5-½ furlong sprint.

Jamaican Chavion Chow got up late with a 2-1 chance Thatsalotofbling to edge the three-year-old and upward fillies and mares by a nose over seven furlongs in race five, while another Barbadian Antonio Whitehall steered 4-1 bet Little Toe to a handsome 1-¼ length victory over the three-year-olds and upward in a six-furlong contest in race six.

Trinidadian Sven Balroop then ensured the Caribbean’s domination of the evening in western Canada when he guided favorite Deano to a 2-¾ length score, going 7-½ furlongs for the three-year-olds and upward in race eight.
