ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada, CMC – Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell is to participate in an international conference on investment migration that gets underway in Dubai on Wednesday.

Mitchell will deliver the feature address at the three-day 17th Global Citizenship Conference, titled “Attracting Global Citizens through Investment Migration — And why this is vital for the Future.”

Grenada is among the sponsors of the conference that will also be attended by St. Lucia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Ernest Hilaire, Nevis Premier Mark Brantley, and the chief executive officer of the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Unit, Charmaine Quinland-Donovan.

The event is being organized by Henley and Partners, one of the accredited marketing agents for Grenada’s Citizenship by Investment Programme (CBI), through which foreign investors are granted citizenship of the island in exchange for making a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of Grenada.

It said that the conference would give the latest insights into the worldwide residence and citizenship options from the global leader in the sector, as well as encompassing key themes, including “The present and future of global citizenship,” “The global economic and political landscape: where to be and where not to be in the future?” and “Wealth planning for global citizens; International perspectives on well-being, family life, and longevity.”

Mitchell will also participate in panel discussions on the issue.

So far this year, Grenada has earned EC$324 million (One EC dollar=US$0.37 cents) in revenue from the CBI program.
