ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada, CMC – The leader of the newly launched Democratic People’s Movement (DPM), Peter David, has been appointed as a local agent for the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programme through which foreign investors are granted citizenship of Grenada in return for making a substantial investment in the country’s socio-economic development.
The Investment Migration Agency (IMA) said David, an attorney and a former foreign affairs minister, had been granted a license in accordance with the 2013 Citizenship by Investment Act.

The IMA said that as a result, David, who launched his own political party on Sunday, “is therefore authorized to conduct business in the State of Grenada, pursuant to the terms and conditions specified in the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Act, 201”.
As a CBI local agent, Davis is responsible for helping applicants prepare documents, submitting the application, and liaising with the CBI Unit throughout the process.
There are currently more than 20 licensed local CBI agents, according to information on the Investment Migration Agency website.
Grenada has earned millions of dollars in revenue since the programme commenced 11 years ago, with an estimated 20,000 foreigners being granted Grenadian citizenship.
