LONDON, CMC – Reggae Boy Jonson Clarke-Harris set aside swirling questions over his future to net a stunning brace as Peterborough came down two goals to draw 2-2 in a thrilling League One encounter with Barnsley.

With his side trailing 2-0 after 31 minutes at home at London Road on Friday night, Clarke-Harris scored on either side of the break to earn the hosts a point in his first start for the East England club in over two months.

The double was the 29-year-old’s second of the campaign, taking his goal tally to ten, with six of them coming in the league.

Peterborough, nicknamed “the Posh,” will end the year third, just four points off top-placed Portsmouth and two behind second-placed Bolton.

The home side trailed as early as the 10th minute when John McAtee dispossessed goalkeeper Nicholas Bilokapicg, allowing Herbie Kane to open the scoring.

And Posh was further behind just after the half-hour mark when another defensive lapse saw Devante Cole, called up by Jamaica last month, pounce to rifle home the second and 13th of the season.

Clarke-Harris, who is expected to leave Peterborough during the transfer window that opens next week, started the comeback in the first-half stoppage, forcing a header past goalkeeper Liam Roberts following a cross from David Ajiboye.

And the hosts found themselves level three minutes following the resumption, Clarke-Harris producing yet another header to bury Harrison Burrows’s cross.
