LONDON, CMC – Rhys Browne’s double was in vain as Woking gave up a comfortable 2-0 lead to slump to a 3-2 defeat to Weston-Super-Mare in the third round of the FA Trophy.

The Antigua international was on target in the 13th and 34th minute as the visitors went two goals up at the break at Woodspring Stadium on Tuesday night.

However, Rex Mannings halved that lead in the 48th before Dayle Grubb scored twice in the space of 12 minutes at the end to inspire a remarkable turnaround.

His first goal came in the 84th minute through a deflected finish from 12 yards out, following excellent work on the right by substitute Opi Edwards.

And Grubb found a dramatic winner in stoppage when he scored from the spot after James Morton’s header was handled in the box.

Browne had earlier opened the scoring after being set up by Josh Casey approaching the quarter-hour mark before adding his second passing the half-hour mark after being played by Padraig Amond.

The 28-year-old has now scored three goals in his last two games.

Also in the FA Trophy, Tyrese Sinclair scored his first goal in his second game following a long injury break, but Rochdale crashed to a 5-1 defeat to Gateshead at home at Spotland Stadium.

The 22-year-old, the son of former Jamaica international Frank Sinclair, netted from the spot in the 73rd minute for his ninth goal of the season.

In the Championship, Reggae Boy Daniel Johnson struck a 70th-minute penalty for Stoke City, but they conceded late on to be held 1-1 by Swansea City at home in the West Midlands.

The 31-year-old scored only his second goal of the campaign when Ryan Mmaee was fouled in the area, and the strike looked to be taking Stoke to victory before Harry Darling produced a late header in the 89th.
