LONDON, CMC – Antigua & Barbuda forward Rhys Browne scored after the break, but he missed two late penalties. Barnet dramatically held on for a 1-1 draw against promotion rivals Woking in their English fifth-tier National League match on Tuesday at the Laithwaite Community Stadium.

Visiting goalkeeper Laurie Walker twice denied Browne, and Woking missed a chance to tighten their grip on the third place, albeit 25 points behind runaway top two Notts County and Wrexham.

Browne, 25, had earlier equalized for the hosts after a weaving runs four minutes into the second half, Harry Pritchard having opened the scoring after 14 minutes for Barnet, who also hit the bar through Dale Gorman with a long-range strike.

“Should have been three points,” Browne said in a social media post after the match. “Poor from me today. We’ll make it right….”

It was the first goal for Browne since he was sent off last month for fouling Grenada goalkeeper Reice Charles-Cook, although 10-man Woking held on to beat Bromley 2-1 in that match.

The goal from Browne on Tuesday took his tally for the campaign to 18, including seven for rivals Wealdstone before he joined Woking last October.

Surinamese center-forward Cedric Main, 25, opened the scoring on six minutes at Mill Farm, and Blyth Spartans ran out easy 3-0 winners at AFC Fylde in the sixth-tier National League North.

Defender Tafari Moore, 25, whose father is Jamaican and mother Jamaican-Barbadian, set up a 2-0 win for St Albans City against Havant & Waterlooville with a 25th-minute strike at Clarence Park in the National League South.
