DOMINICAN REPUBLIC-95 Dominicans repatriated from the US after serving sentences

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, CMC – A total of 95 Dominican nationals, 89 men and six women, were repatriated from the United States after completing prison sentences or legal proceedings for various offenses.

The group arrived at the Las Américas International Airport here on Tuesday, aboard a special flight chartered by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Upon arrival, they were received by officials from the General Directorate of Immigration, the National Police, and CESAC.

Under tight security, the individuals were transported to the Haina Vacation Reception Center, where they will undergo identification, psychological assessments, and reintegration orientation.

According to preliminary data, over 1,200 Dominicans have been repatriated so far this year.
