DOMINICA-DomiROSEAU, Dominica, CMC – President Sylvanie Burton will receive the Global Inspirational Leadership Award on Thursday and be inducted into the Global Power Women Network, according to a statement issued by the Office of the President.
It stated that the ceremony will be held in New York City during the Global Power Women’s Conference and that “this honour acknowledges President Burton’s outstanding leadership, unwavering commitment to advancing gender equality and visionary role in shaping policies which empower communities and inspire global progress.”
The statement said the award will highlight her innovative approach to developing policies that empower communities and support international progress. It also expressed that her efforts to redefine leadership and promote inclusive prosperity align with the conference’s theme: “The Power Shift: Women Reimagining Leadership, Legacy and Global Prosperity.”
The statement said that in receiving this Award, President Burton joins a distinguished circle of leaders “who exemplify courage, resilience and transformative influence on the world stage” and that her “recognition is a testament to her personal achievements and the broader movement towards more inclusive and visionary leadership worldwide”.
The award presentation and her induction into the network will take place immediately following her keynote speech at the conference, in the presence of global leaders, innovators, and trailblazers.
The annual Global Power Women’s Conference is an international event that aims to elevate women’s voices in leadership roles, encourage cross-sector collaboration, and develop strategies for sustainable global growth.
