LONDON, CMC – West Indies off-spinner Karishma Ramharack has been named in the ICC Women’s Twenty20 World Cup Most Valuable Team announced Monday.

The 28-year-old is the only West Indies player in the 12-member squad, captained by England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt and includes four players from champions Australia and three from losing finalists South Africa.

Ramharack, who has played 22 T20 Internationals, grabbed five wickets at ten runs apiece from three games in the just-concluded campaign in South Africa.

“All at Cricket West Indies are proud of Karishma’s selection to the most valuable team of the recent ICC Women’s World Cup, held in South Africa,” said Cricket West Indies president Ricky Skerritt.

“Her work ethic and competitiveness are perfect examples of what is ahead for the future of West Indies cricket.”

Ramharack was the leading wicket-taker in yet another disappointing campaign for West Indies which saw them fail to reach the semi-finals after finishing third in Group 2 with two wins from four matches.
