ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, CMC—Dwayne Bravo has been named head coach of the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders for the 2025 International League League T20 (ILT20).
Bravo, 41, is set to lead a team that includes several West Indies players: fellow Trinidadians Sunil Narine and Terrance Hinds, along with Andre Russell, Roston Chase, and Jason Holder.
Bravo, who played 582 T20s, retired as the highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket history with 631 wickets.
It is the latest management position the former West Indies all-rounder has taken up since retiring from all forms of cricket in September 2024.
Prior to his retirement, he coached the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and served as a batting consultant for Afghanistan at the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup, where they reached the semifinals.
Bravo will also serve as a mentor for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming 2025 IPL.
