BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – St. Kitts-Nevis Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew will deliver the feature address at the Caribbean Examination Council’s (CXC) third annual Ministerial Summit on Educational Transformation to be held here on Friday.
The event will be held under the theme “Reimagining Educational Reform – Towards Transformative Agility” and is envisioning a new approach to educational reform, emphasizing the need for adaptable and transformative changes.
The ministerial summit will feature addresses and roundtable discussions with education policymakers and high-level regional stakeholders. It will also explore the curriculum policies in various territories, emphasizing new topical areas for learning, teaching approaches, and assessment strategies.
The organizers said that this year’s Ministerial Summit holds special significance as CXC marks 50 years of substantial contributions to regional progress, particularly emphasizing human capital development.
The Council’s founding agreement was introduced and ratified during the first Council gathering in Barbados in 1973, with the participation of governments from 15 English-speaking Caribbean territories.
