BELMOPAN, Belize, CMC – Prime Minister Céño is to hold talks with his Japanese counterpart, Shigeru Ishiba, during a visit to Japan next month, the Office of the Prime Minister has announced.
It stated that Briceño, who left here over the last weekend “on personal leave,” will travel to Osaka, Japan, on August 1, to attend Expo 2025.
The brief statement said that while in Japan, Prime Minister Briceño will hold a “bilateral meeting” with Prime Minister Ishiba.
The statement stated that Prime Minister Briceño is scheduled to return to the country on Saturday, August 5, and during his absence, Cordel Hyde, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources, Mining, and Petroleum, will serve as the acting head of government.
