Track stars Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield say 'I Do' in Georgia, starting from a simple DM

TRENTON, Ga, CMC — It began with a simple question: “Do you cook?” Nearly eight years later, that direct message has led to a wedding. American Olympic champion Noah Lyles and Jamaican Olympic relay medalist Junelle Bromfield are officially married. The couple, both track stars, exchanged vows on April 4, 2026, at The Conservatory at Blackberry Ridge in Trenton, Georgia, according to Vogue Weddings.

Though they had crossed paths at international meets during their younger days, their love story didn’t truly start until 2018, when Bromfield took a chance on a DM.

That message sparked what Lyles has called a “very long seven-year story”, one marked by distance, personal growth, and deepening affection.

By 2024, Lyles knew it was time to propose. The wedding ceremony beautifully honored both of their backgrounds, blending American and Jamaican traditions to reflect their shared journey and cultural roots.

The celebration featured a soul-stirring performance from gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard, followed by hours of dancing.

Family, close friends, and members of the track and field community gathered to witness the union of two Olympic athletes whose bond has resonated far beyond the sport.

From a direct message to a lifelong commitment, Lyles and Bromfield’s story continues to inspire, both on the track and off.
