ST JOHN’S, Antigua, CMC -The Cabinet has declared Thursday, September 12, a day of prayer for the nation.
The Ecclesiastical Commission, a body representing various religious denominations in Antigua and Barbuda, has been tasked with organizing the day’s events.
This comes as, over the past months, there has been a marked increase in robberies, assaults, and other violent crimes, prompting calls for both practical and spiritual intervention.
While detailed plans have yet to be announced, the program is expected to include interfaith services, community gatherings, and moments of silent reflection across the islands.
