KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Police say they have arrested a husband and wife wanted in the United States following a coordinated pre-dawn operation by the Anti-Lottery Scamming Unit (ALSU), Jamaica Fugitive Apprehension Team, and members of the St. James Operational Support Team.

The police have identified the two people as 31-year-old Nicki Gibbs, a nurse technician from the Bronx, New York, in the United States, and her husband, Swayne Barker, otherwise called ‘Black Boss’, of Red Dirt, Flankers, in St. James.

The police said that both suspects are wanted in the United States for fraud-related charges and that they will remain in custody pending an extradition hearing.

“These arrests are the culmination of ongoing collaboration between the Jamaica Constabulary Force and its international partners to track and apprehend fugitives seeking refuge within Jamaican borders. Jamaica will never be a sanctuary for criminal activities,” said the head of the Fraud Squad and Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FSFCID), Deputy Superintendent of Police, Horace Forbes.
