KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Golfers Zandre Roye and Oshae Haye have been selected to represent Jamaica at the 11th staging of the Latin America Amateur Golf Championship (LAAC).

The championships will be held at the Lima Golf Club in Peru from January 15-18. It will be Roye’s third appearance at LAAC, having participated in 2024 and 2025, while it will be Haye’s second, adding to his performance in 2024.

Roye and Haye’s first challenge will be cutting the opening for the first two days. Jamaica’s best placement at the championship is 24th by Ian Facey back in 2015.

Over 100 golfers from 28 countries will take part in the championship this year. The list includes competitors from Barbados, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, the Cayman Islands, and Trinidad and Tobago, as well as hosts Peru, Argentina, and Mexico.

The LAAC was founded by the Masters Tournament, the R&A, and the USGA in 2014. It was established to develop further amateur golf in South America, Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean
