FOOTBALL-Greenwood to make Reggae Boyz decision after meeting with Tuchel

KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC—Olympique Marseille star Mason Greenwood is contemplating switching allegiance to Jamaica if new England head coach Thomas Tuchel does not include him in his plans.

The 23-year-old Greenwood, who played one match for England’s senior team in 2020, is reportedly set to meet with Tuchel to determine whether he can continue with the Three Lions.

The former Manchester United player has not featured for England since being charged with attempted rape, assault, and controlling and coercive behavior in 2022. However, the charges were dropped one year later.

Jamaica has been in contact with Greenwood since the charges were dropped, and the striker initially rejected their advances as he held out hope of an England recall.

However, the forward is interested in playing for the Reggae Boyz under former Manchester United assistant Steve McClaren.
