LONDON, CMC—English National League outfit Ebbsfleet United have announced that St Kitts & Nevis international Kwame Thomas is one of their newest signings for the coming season.
The 28-year-old striker could inspire their squad after he left Aldershot Town, where he helped propel the fellow National League side to eighth last season.
Thomas earned his first cap for the Sugar Boyz, as the Kittitians are known, earlier this year and was a big part of Aldershot Town’s rejuvenation last season. He featured 42 times and played in their 4-1 win against Fleet in March.
He was offered a new deal at the Hampshire club, but he decided to wear the red of Fleet for the 2024-25 campaign.
A physically strong forward with excellent aerial attributes, Thomas is expected to add plenty of experience to Ebbsfleet.
The former Derby County youth played for England at the Under-16 and Under20 level and made his debut in the English League Championship, the second tier of the sport in the country, for the Rams, as Derby are known, in the 2014-15 campaign.
Thomas enjoyed loan spells with Notts County and Blackpool before permanently switching to Coventry City eight years ago.
A couple of seasons with Solihull Moors meant he crossed paths with Fleet before he stepped back into the EFL with Doncaster Rovers and Burton Albion.
He fired nine goals for Wrexham in the National League in the 2020-21 season before spells with Sutton United and Dundee, where he helped the latter win the Scottish Championship title in the 2022-23 campaign.
