BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – The unlawful sexual intercourse case against Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly, Neil Rowe, has been adjourned to March 20 after he made an appearance in the Oistins Magistrate’s Court on Monday with a new lawyer.

Rowe, 43, has been charged with having unlawful sexual intercourse with a female without her consent or was reckless about whether she consented on September 18, 2022.

Last October, when he appeared before Magistrate Deidre McKenna, Rowe was represented by King’s Counsel Roger Forde. But on Monday, he was represented by several lawyers, including Kings Counsels Ralph Thorne and Michael Lashley.

Rowe, who was not required to plead to the indictable charges on his previous appearance, continues on BDS$10 000 bail (One Barbados dollar=US$0.50 cents).
