The Guyana United Movement promotes unity with weekend celebrations

The Guyana United Movement (GUM) has announced a weekend of activities in order to promote unity among Guyanese residing in the United States of America.
The weekend of activities will include a Presidential-Ball that will take place on June ninth at Antun’s Banquet Hall in Queens; a Gaff and dance on June tenth at the Farragut Manor on Flatbush avenue; and a finale taking the form of a day of cultural productions and sports’ events at the Thomas Jefferson field, Flatlands avenue.
The Guyana United Movement which was launched in 2016, apart from promoting unity among Guyanese is also funding cancerprevention and youth-development activities in Guyana.
The principal leaders of GUM are Sherif Barker-Fraser; Ervin Washington; and Stanley Harmon.
