On Thursday, KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent– Police are investigating the death of a seven-year-old boy whose decomposing body was found in a vehicle in Diamond, a small farming village on the windward side of the island.

The discovery of the body of Lenny Lewis, a Grade One student at the Stubbs Government School, comes one week after the decomposing body of 17-year-old Precious Williams was found in a bag in Richmond Hill in the capital.

A post-mortem concluded that she died of multiple injuries inflicted by a sharp object.

Lewis’s body was found in the front seat of a damaged car, awaiting repairs at a roadside garage. Lewis’s mother, Anella Lewis, 33, told reporters that she had last seen her son alive on Monday and hoped he would come home by Thursday evening.

The mother of nine children said he had a habit of staying out late and was in the capital when she received news that the body of a boy was found in a car.

On media house, sources said that all of the car’s doors were locked, but the trunk was open, and villagers have expressed hope that his death was not the result of foul play.
