KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent, CMC – A search is underway for an “armed and dangerous” prisoner who escaped from the Belle Isles Correctional Facility on Wednesday while working on the prison farm.
The escapee, 42-year-old Christopher Dasent, is serving a 12-month sentence for burglary and criminal trespass.
“He is a Vincentian national who is considered to be armed and dangerous. Please do not approach,” His Majesty’s Prison said in a bulletin shortly before midnight on Wednesday.
It urged anyone who saw him to contact the prison or the police.
