BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, CMC—Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew left for the Middle East on Wednesday to discuss major geothermal investment projects to further the twin-island Federation’s sustainable development goals.

A government statement said that Drew will meet with several investors in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai before returning home on April 19.

“The outcomes of these meetings in the Middle East … have the potential to advance the Federation’s sustainable island state agenda significantly. Successful partnerships forged during this time can pave the way for the implementation of St.Kitts and Nevis’ innovative geothermal projects and serve as a model for other small island states,” said the brief statement from the Office of the Prime Minister.
