TAIPEI, Taiwan, CMC—St Kitts-Nevis Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas is heading a delegation to Taiwan for an official visit. The delegation seeks to lure investors to the Twin Island Federation, particularly in the investment, industrial development, and energy sectors.
A government statement said that the delegation will make presentations on Tuesday at the 2025 St.Kitts and Nevis Trade & Investment Promotion Seminar, “the first of its kind, for any nation, being held under the leadership of Taiwan’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Lin Chia-Lung, as he promotes economic diplomacy.”
Douglas said that the seminar will allow more Taiwanese private investors to play a pivotal role in propelling St. Kitts-Nevis towards its sustainable island state agenda.
The delegation began the weeklong visit by meeting with St. Kitts-Nevis students studying in Taipei and visiting the offices of the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF), an organization that has been instrumental in establishing initiatives that aid in the development of the twin island Federation.
