MIAMI, Florida, CMC – Bermuda, Grenada, and St Vincent all registered big wins when the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers continued on Wednesday.
Bermuda dominated the Cayman Islands 5-0, Grenada trounced the Bahamas 6-0, and St Vincent decimated Anguilla 6-0 to claim lopsided victories.
Playing at home at the Dame Flora Duffy National Sports Centre, Zeiko Lewis gave Bermuda an early lead in the 12th minute when he scored from the penalty spot.
Djair Parfitt-Williams made it 2-0 in the 54th minute before Kole Hall extended the lead in the 64th minute with a brilliant strike from long-range.
Reggie Lambe’s goal in the 79th minute made it 4-0, and Julian Carpenter sealed the deal in the 85th minute.
Grenada was even more clinical at the Kirani James National Stadium with goals from Jermaine Francis (15′), Darius Johnson (36′), Keishean Francois (58′), Joshua Isaac (72′), Kayden Harrack (77′) and Saydrel Lewis (90′), helping to bury the Bahamas.
Meanwhile, Oalex Anderson scored a brace, and Cornelius Stewart, Micah Joseph, Kyle Edwards, and Kirtney Franklyn all got on the scoresheet as St Vincent blanked Anguilla at the Arnos Vale Stadium.
In other results, Dominica defeated the British Virgin Islands 3-0, Montserrat beat Belize 1-0, and Barbados and Aruba drew 1-1.
