(BROOKLYN, New York): The CARICOM Counselor Corps in New York City has put together a series of events and drop off locations in its efforts to help Hurricane-stricken Bahamas with its recovery efforts. Here’s how you can help.

 

  • October 19 – A CARIBBEAN DAY OF GIVING linking the Caribbean, USA and Canada in a fundraiser using radio, TV and Social Media (more details to come).
  • Two locations where Brooklynites and New Yorkers can drop off donations of money and emergency supplies. Friends of Crown Heights Educational Center at 921 Hegemon Avenue in Brooklyn. Saturday September 22nd and Sunday 23. From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • St. Lucia House – 439 east 49th Street, Brooklyn New York. Saturday, October 5 to Sunday, October 6, 2019. 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • COMMUNITY BINGO – October, 25 at Friends of Crown Heights, 671 Prospect Place, Brooklyn New York. Starting 7:00 p.m. Jackpot $3,000. Cash prizes donations welcomed.
  • To Be Determined – a concert featuring Caribbean artists.
