The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) said that Belize Finance Minister Christopher Coye and the Central Bank of Barbados Governor, Dr. Kevin Greenidge, would participate in the event.

Dr. Greenidge will be a panelist in a “conversation with central bank governors and will be joined by his counterparts from Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, and Guatemala.

The IDB said that the Network of Central Banks and Finance Ministers is a policy discussion group whose permanent members include chief economists of the Central Banks and Finance Ministers of Latin America and the Caribbean.

“This network aims to promote a high-level policy discussion on macroeconomic and financial issues and foster collegial bonds from policy makers from Central Banks and Finance Ministries. The network also supports integration between the region’s policymakers and the IDB research team,” the IDB said.

It said discussions are held behind closed doors under the Chatham House Rules, where participants can use the information received. Still, neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s) nor that of any other participant may be revealed.
