ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, CMC—Governor General Sir Rodney Williams will travel to China to be with his wife after she became ill while attending an international conference in Beijing, the Office of the Governor General announced on Wednesday.
It said that Lady Williams, who represents Antigua and Barbuda at the 6th China Latin America and Caribbean Region People-to-People Friendship Conference, “has unfortunately fallen ill.”
The Office gave no other details, saying that Sir Rodney, 77, a medical doctor, will be traveling to China “to support Lady Williams during this time.
“We ask for your prayers and well wishes for Lady Williams’ speedy recovery. Further updates will be provided as necessary,” the Office added.
