Twenty-four-year-old Ranje Reynolds, who is accused of murder in Washington, DC, renounced his right to an extradition hearing when he appeared in the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on Monday.
Reynolds was apprehended in Kingston last week Tuesday in connection with the January murder of Tarek Boothe, 27, of Virginia.
According to US police, the murder occurred during an argument between the two.
Ranje Reynolds is expected to be transferred to the US within the next 30 days.
A senior parish court judge signed documents of committal for arrangements to be made for him to be taken to the United States.
