PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley has tested negative for COVID-19, a week after confirming he had contracted the virus.
According to a one-line statement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister, he got the negative test on Thursday.
Last Thursday, after experiencing mild flu-like symptoms the previous night, Rowley tested and returned a positive COVID-19 test – his fourth in just under two years.
He was isolated in keeping with the country’s COVID-19 protocols and continued working from his office at the Prime Minister’s residence.
