FOOTBALL-T&T, JAMAICA, BARBADOS SHOW GOOD FORM

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, and Barbados continue to show good form in the ongoing Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-14 Challenge Series.

Host T&T solidified their position at the top of Tier 1 Group A following a 5-0 victory over St. Kitts and Nevis.

It was the second victory for the young Soca Warriors, who led Jamaica by a goal difference. The young Reggae Boys secured their second campaign win, following a 6-0 win over Aruba on Sunday.

Kelvin Brown scored four times in the first 12 minutes of the game to set up the Jamaicans’ comprehensive victory in Tobago. T&T and Jamaica will square off on Monday in a top-of-the-table clash.

Over in Tier 2 Group B action, leaders Barbados notched their third win in as many games following a 4-1 victory over the Cayman Islands at the Larry Gomes Stadium.

In other results from Sunday’s action, Bermuda remained unbeaten in Tier 2 Group C following St. Maarten’s 10-1 hammering, with Zydon Lightbourne Furbert and Jean Wolfe scoring hat-tricks.

Elsewhere, Grenada turned back Bonaire 4-1, Curacao got the better of St. Martin 2-0, and Puerto Rico and French Guiana played to a 1-1 draw.

Anguilla brushed aside the US Virgin Islands 5-0, while the Turks and Caicos Islands blanked Dominica 3-0.
