LEICESTER, England, CMC – Jamaican forward Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards has finalised a move from English Premier League outfit Chelsea to second-tier Leicester City.

The 20-year-old Richards has been at Chelsea since 2024 but has been unable to break into the star-studded senior team.

His agent, Craig Butler, described Richards’ move to Leicester as an “important one”, saying the player was seeking regular playing time.

“It’s important that we, as managers, don’t just transfer players and forget about them. It’s important that we continue to ensure that they get the opportunities that they need and the treatment that they need,” said Butler, the founder of Phoenix Academy.

“He’s going now to Leicester City to ensure that he gets the proper playing time and the development that he needs.

“It’s very important that at this age, you’re not playing Under-21 football when you have the potential to be a superstar. He has that potential, so we work hard to ensure that it gets done,” he added.

Leicester City are sitting in 16th spot in the Championship, having won 10 of their 30 games, drawn eight, and lost 12 times.

The talented Richards was signed straight out of the ISSA Schoolboy Manning Cup following an outstanding season for Kingston College, where he scored over 30 goals.

He has two goals for Jamaica’s senior Reggae Boyz, with his second goal against Bermuda in a World Cup Qualifier being nominated for National Awards under the category of People’s Choice Performance of the Year.
