ST JOHN’S, Antigua, CMC – West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph and bodybuilder Melissa Seaforth took home the coveted awards of Senior Sportsman and Senior Sportswoman, respectively, when the Antigua and Barbuda National Sports Awards were held over the weekend.

It marked the second successive year that the 29-year-old Joseph copped the award following his triumph in 2024, while Seaforth dethroned 2024 winner, fellow bodybuilder Kimberley Percival.

Joseph, regarded as one of the Caribbean’s leading fast bowlers, delivered a strong year on the international stage, where he claimed 31 wickets, including a five-wicket haul against Australia, and surpassed 200 career T20 wickets.

He also made notable domestic contributions with both bat and ball.

Meanwhile, Seaforth also enjoyed a stellar year, recording several podium finishes at international events.

She claimed gold in the Bikini Fitness category at the IFBB Pro Pepa in the Czech Republic. She produced a gold-medal-winning performance in the Bikini Pro Masters Division and a second-place finish in the Bikini Pro Open Division at the IFBB Pro Grand Gala in Italy.
