KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Jamaican International Colin Anderson is set to join Iraqi First Division team Erbil SC from Cavalier SC in this summer’s transfer window. In 2023, on loan from Cavalier FC, Anderson had a stint with Bregalnica Štip in the North Macedonian First Division.
Despite his efforts, Anderson struggled, netting just three goals in 28 appearances, as the team faced relegation to the Second Division.
Anderson, who led Cavalier to the finals of the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) in 2022, has scored an impressive 29 goals in 66 appearances for the club. Last season, Erbil SC finished 14th in the 20-team Iraqi league, recording nine wins, 14 draws, and 15 losses. The addition of Anderson is expected to boost the club’s performance this season.
The former Arnett Gardens FC player, who has two caps for the Reggae Boyz, will join Brazilian defender Helio, Colombian forward Luis Hinestrova, Senegalese Midfielder Khalifa Sow, and Mali defender Adama Ballo as the international players on the Iragi club roster.
