TRINIDAD- Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs to meet with U.S. Secretary of State

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Dr. Amery Browne is scheduled to hold talks with United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken o a range of issues next week.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and CARICOM Affairs said Dr. Browne would travel to Washington D.C. for the meeting, which is scheduled for Tuesday at the offices of the U.S. Department of State.

“The meeting . . . will address bilateral matters such as national security, technical cooperation, health, and education, as well as other issues of importance to Trinidad and Tobago and the United States of America as well as to the Caribbean and the Hemisphere,” it said.

While in Washington D.C., Minister Browne will also meet with other U.S. officials and key stakeholders “to further deepen the very close and mutually beneficial relations between the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the United States of America,” the Ministry added.
